The teachers in the group showed me how to earn friends, open little care packages to collect potions, and spin landmarks on my phone to earn more Poke Balls, instead of just paying for them with coins. What I believe to be unfair, is that coins on Pokemon Go is considered to be very hard to earn, and the items are very expensive to buy. This tells me like most game companies, Nintendo is still willing to grab money from consumers in a very unethical way (I do not support micro-transactions). Though I do believe this game to be fun, and I can see how this can bring people into the community, and have fun with new people that they have not yet met. There is a lot of talk about going on the computer, and typing up information to show work, and honestly I am not looking forward to it. Though one thing that we did today, was that we went to an ongoing battle at the Taco Cabana area across from our school. I was able to capture some Pokemon over there, but the main event was the upcoming battle. I was excited to start another battle, but to my surprise, 20 other people joined, and was able to knock the Pokemon in one tap. I didn't have any time to even battle the enormous creature, but I did capture it. I didn't really consider it to be an achievement, because it didn't represent any progress that I had made during the game. For the rest of the day, I was creating this website, and making a game plan for my project. I did make a few more "friends" to edit with my character, and I was able to open a few more care packages from people to earn more Poke Balls to stay in the game. Though I had to go to Guthrie, and I wanted to help the librarian out in the library, my time was limited a bit. Also, I had problems syncing my phone to the mac in the classroom, so tomorrow I will bring my own MacBook to work on both the project, and the website. I have earned weak Pokemon, like Aron, Bulbassaur, Weedle, Hoppip, to stronger pokemon like Eevee, Dunsparce, Misdreavus (cp 616), and Scyther. On Tuesday, all of us as a class went to Memorial city mall. It was a "gigantic spawn point" for Pokemon, but for the most part, that is where I found most of my least special ones, more so common than "rare". Next place we went to on the same day was Terry Hershey Park, where for most of the day, my Pokemon Go account was not working, but at the end of the trip, I was able to re-login to my account, and found a few special ones. I participated in a battle, and this was an easy Pokemon to collect, but I captured a Shinx, with a cp at 473. I was proud of that one, because I have found none like it. I also found a Magmar, which was one of my first "big" Pokemon, sort of an uncommon for me (considering I am very basic at this game). I consider myself to be a very basic player, but I want people like me, to understand the material, and be able to start if they do not have friends to help start their account. Even better, I want my project to be free to use, and access. I will give information on making your character, on starting out with Pokemon, and learning what outposts are, and how to battle friends, but my goal is to make a beginner's guide, not an expert. I am planning on making this powerpoint to be 9-15 pages long (more if possible). I want to add guides to earning potions, gaining new friends, finding Pokemon in populated areas, and checkpoints to battle harder leveled Pokemon. But on the bright side, I got to capture Pokemon today at the mall, and I leveled up from 11 to 13. I also got to walk around my neighborhood for a bit, and I captured about 15 Pokemon. In total, I may have collected 23. Not bad for today. I was also able to heat up my eggs, from 0 to 5.61. Almost to hatching soon! All I have to do tonight is finish my project, and I should be good to go.
