Top 5: Commitment, Dependability, Reliability, Fairness, Motivation

These values influence me now because I am committed to my schooling and daily life. Dependability is also a big thing because I want to help people and want to be thought of as a person to stick with. Reliability is big because I want people to be able to trust to help them. Fairness is important because it is similar to accountability and responsibility and those two are big for me because people should be held accountable for what they did and not what others did. Motivation is also key because it helps you keeping pushing and finishing the task. As of now I try me best to live by these values to do what needs to be done in my school life, home life, and rotc life. These five values will stick with throughout my life as I plan to exhibit each of them in my home life and career life.
The most important one for me is fairness because it has other values included into it, all of which are also important to me.

Writing does a lot of things, of which are: spreads ideas, teaches a lesson, spreads information.
The writings I come across daily are sports articles.
Writing makes us think and engage in what is being said in the text.
What I like about writing is when the author doesn't take their sweet time to say something, just be straight forward with it. There isn't the need to be a dick and use big words and long sentences to get across a small message.

The writing I am doing a rhetorical analysis on is the descriptive essay from Eng 101. This is memorable because it allowed me to write about what I want and how I want the essay to be structured while doing being bond by few restrictions and required items. The story itself was fictional but I was influenced by the Deadpool movie and how it was not chronological, so I did the same with my story. I had it start somewhere between the end of the beginning and the middle, and I told the story from there until I got to a point in the story of the essay where it was suspenseful of what would happen next and I went to the very beginning of it all. Although it was fictional my characters were realistic so that made a difference of how the actions of the story were dealt with.

How we are wasting a lot of time if we are on our phones for hours upon hours a day. Especially if what we are doing is non-productive, if we are just being on social media or playing mobile games then yes there is better things we could be doing. But if it were work related stuff on the phone that is ok. But being connected to electronics for so long isn't good, it changes our behavior for the worse when we are done using our phones or such. Our behavior definitely has a strong negative change if we were using the phones for leisurely things, because now you have to actually do work and get stuff done.
My thoughts on phones weren't really changed because I am aware of the effects of being on it for so long. It changes behavior, crunches your schedule, and makes you procrastinate a lot.

I felt I was strongest in my rhetorical analysis when discussing my former paper, because I've already done it and got a grade for it so I know what went good and such. The part where I talk about what people, organizations, etc., could use some work because I didn't really have a lot to influence me so I didn't have a lot for it. I will able to keep pushing on my strengthens while building up the areas where I lack in. I didn't get stuck in writing this paper because of what it asked. I think the assignment sheet was clear enough.

What I know:
I know I want my paper to deal with the issue that is happening at the border. I plan to be specific by listing why having the border wall will increase safety specifically in Tucson. I will also include what negative things are happening in Tucson because our border at Mexico is currently not being secured as it should be.

My questions for how the community discusses this issue are. For the left my questions are; "why would you not want to protect your community members?", "shouldn't it be Mexico's responsibility to make itself a better country that would keep their citizens there?", and "would not make sense to help our own people first and help others afterwards, with help I am meaning sending humanitarian groups over to Mexico instead of taking on thousands upon thousands of illegals that aren't good for us in a lot of ways?". For the right: "Is this the best way to secure our nation at our southern border?". For people in general who don't want the wall, "are you going against the wall because it seems like the popular thing to do?".

Pros of having the border wall:
1. secures our southern border
2. saves tons of lives, money in damages, and our country
3. will dramatically decrease the amount of deaths that are caused by the illegals, either by themselves or because of the drugs they traffick.

Cons:
1. makes us seem like the bad guy, like we have no empathy
2. will cost billions but the money will be made back because it'll cost less than what we spend on immigration

Priorities about this issue:
For: Saves lives
Against: we aren't isolated anymore

Why I care about this issue:
I am very adamant about saving American lives, keeping our country secure, and not putting ourselves where we don't need to be.

The research process was alright, finding all the sources was meh especially the scholarly ones because they weren't as easy to find. The bio is helpful because it already has some ides on what I am going to write about. The ending will be the best part because it means it is over. After the intro because it is not a typical argumentative essay, so going into the body paragraphs is like meh. My drafting process was basically the bibliography, the paper isn't flashy more like meh. Maybe to not procrastinate as much as I did.
