It sounds like the Australian economy is kind of average at the moment but has the potential to grow - population growth seems to be a big factor both driving and limiting growth (providing more labour but also meaning we have to divide increases by more people?? Our TOT is good, we are seeing small decreases in unemployment and jobs are growing but inflation is below target range and wages aren't yet following jobs growth.

So Australia's doing alright but there can be improvement. Inflation is below the target of 2-3% set by the Reserve Bank. Could be due to lack of growth in wages. There is less unemployment, with more workforce participation, however the wages are not increasing.

Economic growth in China has also boosted our growth - higher commodity prices

The Australian economy is probably in the indifferent peapod category but is slowly inching towards the happy circle.
There is an increase in employment, investment in business equipment and investment in infrastructure. However, wage growth is not occurring at a rate that would be considered as worthy of the happy circle. The stagnant nature of wage growth is caused by surpluses in labour resources (working within the PPF), ultimately contributing to the lack of consumer spending which does not promote economic growth.
