The researchers studied tumor samples from 1,001 patients who had been diagnosed with diffuse large B cell lymphoma over the past decade. These patients had been treated at 12 different institutions around the world. Using whole exome sequencing, the researchers found 150 genetic things that drove the disease. The team then tested to see if there were any similarities between the genes and how well the patients had taken the standard therapies, compared to genome-editing or CRISPR to take out each of the 20,000 genes in lymphoma cells to identify those that are genetically a candidate.

this is important because the b cells carry the cancer (lymphoma). 70% of people that were diagnosed survive 5 years after. High-risked people or have worse prognoses have a 53% chance of living past 5 years from when diagnosed and have a 36% chance of living 10 years after they were diagnosed. this proves that researchers finding a new way to cure diffuse large b cell lymphoma and give a sense of hope to save more lives and live longer. I'm wondering how many people they tried this.

https://www.news-medical.net/news/20171005/Researchers-pinpoint-genetic-drivers-of-diffuse-large-B-cell-lymphoma.aspx
i know that this is a reputable source because it is a medical and science website and all their sources are .org
