Strength: It puts the learning into song and dance. Allowing them to have something to remember and help them remember the skills.

Weakness:
- The child may focus more on the dance and singing instead of the knowledge that they are suppose to be retaining
- A student may not like dancing and singing especially if they are shy.

Strength: You can easily see which students know the answer quickly.

Weakness: If a student doesn't know an answer they may just run to the corner everyone is going to. This can give inaccurate information

Teaching a piece of music is a perfect way for a teacher to assess  the understanding using the break-down technique. This type of assessment will allow the teacher to identify the mistakes that the students make. This activity shows the teacher the understanding of the music.

"The student will recall and identify the main idea of the story"

The student goes to the poster board and identifies the main idea out of the given three possibilities. The student then runs back to their group and retells the main idea. The next student writes the main idea exactly as the first runner stated it. Then the third student draws out the main idea based on the words. This is done in small groups before or after a lesson. If this is done before the lesson this would activate prior knowledge and allow them to make text to text connections.
