         <description><![CDATA[<p>Podiatrist&nbsp;</p><p>A podiatrist is a healthcare professional who will treat and care for people whose feet and legs have been affected by injury or illness. You will help people with a range of mobility issues, relieve pain and treat infections of the feet and lower legs. Examples of these can be: &nbsp;</p><p>-Children with lower limb pain or problems walking&nbsp;</p><p>-diabetes sufferers with circulation problems who may be at risk of amputation&nbsp;</p><p>You’ll work with other healthcare professionals such as physiotherapists, dietitians, GPs and nurses and in a range of settings from hospitals and community clinics to the homes of patients.&nbsp;</p><p>To become a Podiatrist, you can do an approved degree course or a master's degree in podiatry. Entry requirements for these are 5 GCSEs (grades 4-9), including English, math's and science, and three A levels or equivalent, including a biological science.&nbsp;</p><p>As a podiatrist you start on band 5, and you can go up to band 8.&nbsp;</p>]]></description>
