What do you assume of the Native Americans? Pre-civilized? Helpless? Or even cruel? None of them are accurate. Even if the Europeans who first appeared established the United States and flourished because of the Indians, they nearly demolished or enslaved all of the Native Americans. Is it worth it to destroy the kind and tender native Americans to build United States?

In 1492, the first Europeans reached America. The Native Americans were astonished to see such unusual people. Several tribes hostilely attacked the newcomers, while others generously provided land to the Europeans and taught them to live on this type of terrain. The Europeans invited the Native Americans who helped them to a huge feast annually. But soon, more and more Europeans arrived in America. Although they brought goods, creatures, ornaments, and crops to trade, they also brought lethal diseases unfamiliar to the Native Americans. What’s more, more and more Europeans came and claimed more and more land. Soon, the Native Americans gradually fell under the rule of the settlers under gunfire and epidemics with tremendous and tragic casualties.

In the end, the colonists are not appreciative of the Native Americans for becoming so influential. They treated the Indians poorly and slew a lot of them, which is a very tragic event for all of us. I hope this kind of incident does not happen again.

The Native American culture goes back for thousands of years, while the European history in America is much more recent. 1) "Native American culture revolved heavily around nature, and every aspect of their lives was based around the Earth." Their culture is mostly established upon natural resources and does not harm nature by squandering. Some of the tribes are known for their remarkable architecture, while others are known for their unique clothing. You may have heard of totem poles, which are an distinctive icon for some tribes. They use them to portray members of the household, deceased relatives, and gods and spirits. With these riches, the Indians lived merrily on their land without disturbances.

In 1819, George Washington authorized The Civilization Fund Act of 1819, Which made the Indians leave their land and go to tiny reservations in order to “civilize” them. That resulted in a massive migration called the Trail of Tears. Still, white people in poverty went into Indian reservations and took their territory. Laws became more and more stringent on the Native Americans, but most of them didn’t dare to protest. The ones who did faced terrible punishments. Eventually, the government asserted that the Indians were deteriorating the country’s economy. They not just permitted the massacre of Indians but also offered a bounty of $100 for each Indian scalp, which must be a nightmare for them. In the end, after a series of cruel battles, Calvin Coolidge signed the Indian Citizenship Act, which made all Indian citizens. The lengthy conflicts between Americans and Indians are over, resulting in ultimate peace and happiness for Native Americans.
