My first name is Alison, my middle name is Ruth (I've always disliked my middle name). 

I was adopted. My first name comes from my parents (the couple who adopted me). I'm not sure where they got it or why. It might be related to the fact that Alison is also my aunt's middle name. They simply liked how it sounded. 

My middle name comes from my "birth-giver". She named me after her grandmother. My parents were kind enough to allow her to pick my middle name. Unfortunately, I am not a huge fan of the name Ruth. I might change it one day but for now, I leave it, to respect the sentimental value it has to my family members. 

No one in my family is named after each other. We do not have any repeat names or reasons for the names we have! Pretty simple!

He ran into his buddy at the hospital, and they realized that they both planned to name their daughter Jessica. Knowing we would go to school together our whole lives, his friend spoke to his wife and they opted to "let" my parents have the name. To this day, my friend JENNIFFER still teases me that I stole her name. 

My middle name is Claire.
