The triota game (known by many names in different parts of the world), is an ancient game, that has been engraved in the temple of Karnak in Egypt from 1400 BC, another one has been found in the cemetery of the Bronze Age in Ireland and another one in the Acropolis of Athens. The tic tac toe has reached the peak of its popularity in Europe in the Renaissance.

The game is played by two players who form at the sand or paper a square (or rectangular) as shown in fig. Each player has three pawns, ie the first has three white stones and the second has three black stones.
To play the game you just put all the pieces then you begin to move them (each payer at his turn) until someone makes ”threes”. Each pawn can only be moved to adjacent positions. The winner is the one who will make the first “threes”.
