I used an eraser pencil to get my highlights and I made sure you could see the darkness from the seaweed and the rice. Then i used a dark black color to show shades of the roundness of the shoe and different levels of lightness and darkness of the checkered part. I didn't know how to draw each step of my face and have it look real. I didn't know how to shade and get each value of pencils to get my lights and darks. As we went through the class we learned new skills to know how to handle the pencils and shade correctly.
