Private schools didn't use to admit female students only male could study there. So, I went to public school. I was fond of playing chess and I used to play chess when I was in school. Since I did not have money to buy the chess set, I made the set by myself using the woods. I always tried to fulfil my needs by working myself. Schools in my area provides education only up to grade 8. So, for further study my parents decided to send me to Kathmandu, the capital city such that I can continue my studies and do something great in life. The tuition fees of the city school were so high that I used to do part time job to support the fees and my living in the city. Every month at the end I used to pay interest of the debt taken from bank. Sometimes, I have had to make choices between rent and food or study.  Coming from a government school where I never learned English and computer skills, my first few days were really tough. My clothes were not that good as of my friend. My friends used to bully me seeing my keypad phone and my getup.  During those days I focused much on my studies knowing that my study is the only answer to every questions. Fortunately, due to my academic scores, I got to study my higher secondary studies with full scholarships.

Many thing changes when we move around the world. People born in Canada have more privileges than those who migrated. The dominant religion in Canada is Christianity due to which there is public holidays on the occasions of Christmas Day, Good Friday, Easter, etc. I came to Canada in November. During the occasion of Diwali and Dussehra, which is the greatest Hindu festival, I was having classes since there was no public holidays. My first language is Nepali, but in Canada I must speak in English at work and at study. English being my second language, I am not that fluent with it. So, at work I face language barriers. As an international student, I must pay much more tuition fees than my colleagues who are originally from Canada. If we are born into a so-called first-world country, for example, we are likely to experience better health, safety, and financial prospects than someone who is born into a third-world country. But in my case, I was born in third-world country and later migrated to First-world country. Being a newcomer, neither I have legal and voting privilege in Canada nor I have better medical facilities for free cost.

I often hided my poverty but there were some situations that made me realize that I am not capable to afford the basic things and I was under stress to maintain my financial level. Even there was a time when I slept on the railway tracks without food for two nights only with water because at that time I had no accommodations and money for food. At the beginning I used to do singing on the bars, but being a female I was insecure in those places.

It means that I am benefitted from identifying as straight and will not face the discrimination or threats as a result of my sexuality. Cisgender privilege is when you identify with the gender to which you were assigned at birth. I have this privilege; I am not likely to be harassed in public restrooms or locker room spaces, face questions about genitals from strangers, be clinically considered mentally unwell, be regularly assigned the wrong pronoun, and more. With the changing time, my privileges have also changed. Before I belonged to a working-class category but now, I do have a job, I earn beautiful salary every month and now I have reached the level of middle upper-class category. I can afford food and shelter, good physical and mental health care, and so on. To be able-bodied, free of chronic disease, possessing of all five senses, untouched by mental illness, and neurotypical is a privilege. I am privilege to be young. The younger you are (as an adult), the more likely you are to see yourself represented in pop culture and advertising, be valued for your ideas/art, be considered attractive (which is its own privilege). So far, I have worked with three different agencies. In each agency, I got privilege to learn about leaderships, time management and problem-solving skills.  From my childhood till today, I have been privileged to education. I am from Nepal where I have full privilege to speak Nepali.
