in the 1600s Only white males of high class had education, their education was for the importance for family, religion, values, and consequences. White wealthy females learned at home.

1700s

in the 1700s Only white wealthy and middle class men had education, they learned how to be functioning members of society. White wealthy woman learned at home, how to cook clean and do the basic necessities like read the bible and write scripture.

1800s

In the 1800s all humans had the right and the accessability to learn, but people of color learned less due to them having prejudice views forced upon them. They did make the Jim crow laws and that helped make it more equal but it still wasn't actually equal because the civil war was going on at the time. They also made school compulsory

1900s-1955

in the early years, before 1955, all students could go to school, and the segregated schools had to integrate together, making the education equal. the education system was now to prepare students to participate in a democratic system.

1956-2000

In the early years before 2001 all students can learn and it is illegal to discriminate students based off gender, disability or race. The Elementary, Secondary act provides funding support for students from low-income families.

2001-Now

Schools became more diverse. Technology became a lot more advanced and so did teaching practices. There was more of a STEM focus in education as well.
