Field observations are always good for determining a rough size and orientation of the mama bodies and also helps you understand the composition, structures and textures of the magma body.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>As others have already said, observations in the field and use of geochemical analysis would be among the most useful techniques. Whether you are sample lava flows, or even outcrops of unerupted material (i.e. igneous suites), STCs are always a good thing to do, and testing hand samples can provide a lot of info (you could perform pXRF, etc to determine the chemistry of the rock)</div>]]></description>
