There are lots of different sports and most sports have a disabled race. personally Nick's favorite race is swimming. Nick's training to be like Miss Boyle. Another thing is that in the 2016 Rio Olympics Russia was banned from Rio Olympics but the ministers of the Olympics have allowed 2 Russians to compete. If Russia wants to compete they have to get allowance from every minister in the Olympics.
New Zealand times to qualify for the Olympics are harder than they have to be because it costs a lot of money, New Zealand doesn't have a lot of money so they only let the people who will get a medal for New Zealand. There are also things called podiums that people stand on to get there medals (e.g if I won the 200 meter sprint I would stand on the podiums and get a gold medal.) There are three spots that get medals for each event. These are the most popular events: swimming, sprints and the 3000 meter other wise known as the     3 kilometer run, long jump, high jump, cycling,shot put, javelin. Of course there are a lot more sports but those that Nick just listed are there most well known. Nick's favorite is swimming as Nick told you before but he also quite likes squash. At the start of the Olympics women used to never be allowed to compete. In 1900 the Olympics didn't even exist. I think the Olympics started at 1948.There are winter Olympics with snow stuff like skiing. Then there are summer Olympics with running and javelin. By far the most famous Olympics are the summer Olympics. The Olympics this year are being held at Rio Brazil. One of the sports that most people don't know of that is in the winter Olympics is skeleton.
