I take part in trying to save our environment by growing some of my own produce such as limes and lemons, I also make sure to turn off lights through out the day. For recycling I try to to avoid always using plastic straws and water bottles.

When I think about information literacy, I think of the writing and reading aspect of it.It encourages creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

I would like to learn more about the economic part of sustainability.

When it comes to college ive decided to talk about the number of young women who get sexually assaulted on campus. Despite the fact that sexual assault affects millions of individuals in the United States each year, adolescents are still at the highest risk of being sexually assaulted.According to recent estimates, 20–25 percent of college students in the United States (US) have been victims of sexual assault. On college campuses, there are huge populations of young women who are more vulnerable to rape and other types of sexual assault than women in the general community or in a similar age range.

Over the past decades the amount of young women who get sexually assaulted has increased. For example women at a college with 10,000 female students might be subjected to more than 350 rapes every year, according to estimates. I think now in 2021 more people are speaking out about sexual assault. The most pressing issue confronting today's college students is sexual assault, which has arisen as a result of society's acceptance of rape culture. rape culture is a social context in which sexual

assault is justified and normalized amongst

society

This topic is important because the majority of our worldwide information regarding sexual assault comes from working with female survivors. However there has been very little study on rape prevention. We need to talk about this topic more and conduct more reach on rape prevention. I find my reach is important in spreading awareness and opening talk about factors of sexual assault. Lastly this topic falls under the social Pilar of sustainability.

I choose to analyze Palash Ghoshs articale in Fobes "A Year After George Floyd Killing, Fewer Americans Support Black Lives Matter Movement, Poll Finds". The reason i decided to analyze this article is beacuse this was such a big topic and brought awareness. I also think that since this was a recent movement there more leadind informtation. I believe the author's goal is to demonstrate how the black lives movement has waned following George Flyode's death, compared to when it first started. Less Americans are supporting the Black Lives Matter movement, which might lead to a poor perspective on future racial relations. Palash Ghosh, the author, use the logos method to communicate his message's intent. Ghosh appeals to logic when he cites surveys on the percentage of individuals who support the Black Lives Matter movement, race relations, and police violence today versus when he died. "The public's opinions on Black Lives Matter also differed considerably by race and party," Ghosh writes, "with 84 percent of Blacks and 76 percent of Democrats currently holding a favorable view of the movement, compared to only 56 percent of whites and 36 percent of Republicans." The author employs data to convey the notion that support for the Black Lives Matter Movement is divided by race and political affiliation. "46 percent of U.S. people believe racial relations have worsened over the past five years, and just 30% anticipate them to improve in the next five years," he writes in the piece. This shows how the author is utilizing numerous surveys to show how Americans do not support racial justice, such as how blacks do, which should improve, and how just 30% anticipate them to improve in the next five years, which is unacceptable. Because of the sensitivity and intricacy of the issue of police violence, the author used logical arguments to encourage readers to adopt more positive views about his essay. 69 percent of respondents thought police violence is a "severe problem" in the United States, down from 79 percent following Floyd's murder last year. He presented actual facts about where America stands with the movement and how some people may not think police violence is a major concern, the usage of logos was effective.
The material is valuable because it tracks a historical trend in America and provides readers a sense of where the movement is going. The information presented is part of an ongoing discussion because it demonstrates how society is divided on a racial problem, and it has the potential to lead to a more definite separation, which is worrying. Palash Ghosh, an author, employs an information literacy framework to promote awareness of racial injustice and the number of individuals who oppose BLM, notably Americans and Republicans. This piece, In my opinion, is part of a larger discussion about how Americans, particularly Whites and Republicans, can alter this and support the cause differently than they did when George Floyd passed away last year.

Narrative about topic: Sexual assault, according to the traditional narrative around my issue, is when someone purposefully sexually contacts another person without their consent, or coerces or physically compels a person to engage in a sexual act against their choice. After doing some research on my topic, I discovered that one out of every five female college students will be sexually assaulted. That amount, however, does not include the women who choose to remain silent out of fear. I also discovered that colleges lack the proper programs for sexual assult victamins.
The counter narrative:My counter-argument is that college campuses should be more held responsible for assults taken place at fraternity parties and publicly debate the amount of sexual assault victims who do not come forward. This plan would address the issue of the number of women sexually assaulted at fraternity gatherings and elsewhere on campus
How this counter-narrative can help solve the problem you are writing about:My counter-narrative is that college campuses be held liable for sexual assaults committed by fraternity parties, which would help fix the problem I'm writing about. In addition to institutions speaking out more about the techniques of sexually abused women. Having colleges realse the real statistics of all women who were assaulted not just the few who speak out. Showing the real number could bring more awarness and help the victims come together to get help.
