I pretend to be thick-skinned, but really I am delicate 
I feel a divine love from my family and friends 
I touch my velvety pillow, as I lay down for my nap
I worry about the rigorous courses I am enrolled in this semester 
I cry for any senseless reason

I understand the world is dividing, rather than conquering 
I say Jesus has helped me face and overcome life’s obstacles 
I dream about the day I walk down the isle and embark on a new journey 
I try to be a healthy, athletic person
