  • Armenians are accused of revolting and conspiring with Russian forces.
    • They falsely accused Armenians in order to paint them as the bad guys and seize control. They had the cover of the war at this point as justification.

  • Turkish and Kurdist forces attack Armenian villages in NW Persia
    • February 1915
    • 70 gendarmes attack the village of Koms and kill the Armenian leader and all people with him.  
    • Turkish soldiers are regularly entering Armenian towns and raping, looting, and killing
    December 1915
    - A telegram clarifies that the purpose of deportations is annihilation. 

    All of these prove that the Ottomans used violence to annihilate the Armenian population.

    October 15: Immunity from prosecution is guaranteed to those who carry out the massacres of the Armenians.
    December 15: Orders issued for the killing of Armenian priests.
