The American revolution was the sparking of open conflict between revolutionaries in the 13th colonies against the rule of Great Britain.

It had many different sparking events that led to the climax. However the battle of Lexington and Concord in 1775, was the catalyst of American anger towards the British rule. America had gotten fed up with British rule in the form of British taxation. They heavily taxed paper, tea, sugar, glass, and much more. The Americas felt like this was taxation without representation and decided to rebel. They rebelled in acts of vandalization, rioting, and protests.
