CFE - the response form is very rigid.

The curriculum as an experience of the school as a whole (sec model) rather than discreet subject areas.

Students do not segment their learning. It is experienced as a whole.

A lot needs to be done around the purpose of assessment. What is the purpose of KS2 assessment? GCSEs and the amount of GCSEs is not fair.

We need a strategy with assessment from early years. E.g. what is the purpose of a phonics check?

What is the purpose of this data?

Qualitative data - the human skills; 'softer' skills which measure what it means to be human - how are we capturing this? What do we do with it?

The curriculum has not changed in years.

We can access knowledge at our fingertips.

We need a curriculum for the future and what is coming down the line.

Employers are looking for different things.

Curriculum needs to represent the diversity of their communities and they need to be confident in their skin colour.

We need a curriculum which brings people together and opens minds.

We have a duty to ensure that young people respect and understand multicultural contributions in the past and now.

At local level, we can get together and create a resource bank for these types of resources.

There is a teacher training element here also.

Better to make it policy so that all learners HAVE to learn about diversity.

While a fair bit has been done on curriculum not much has been done on assessment.

When you see your own child go through it as a parent then you see it and experience first hand. You see the anxiety.

Assessment has not kept pace with the changes in the curriculum.
