Escaping Germany increased the destruction of the city, because they blew up or tried to demolish important buildings such as the Okęcie Airport and the Royal Castle.

There were proposals for the transfer of the Polish capital to another city because of the damage caused by the uprising. However, in December 1944 in Lublin, the temporary management board of the Association of Architects SARP clearly stated that Warsaw must remain the capital of Poland, both for cultural and historical reasons and because of its geographical location.

He insisted on following the path which Stalin had once pointed out, drawing up a plan for the industrialization of the Soviet Union.

At the end of the 6-year plan, the average living standard of working people will be 55-60% higher than the current standard of living.

The six-year plan reduced the standard of living so much that it ended with the rebellion of the desperate workers of Poznań.
