They are lined along the road, in each state, and cost about $50 per room of two beds. 
The total amount we would spend on hotels alone (which luckily include breakfast and -some- lunch) would be an average of about $2,430 because we would spend the night and go to each location in the nearby area, and move on. The total stops we would do per night would be an average of about 3-5 stops per region per state.
