She told us that her favourite thing about the centre is that it "has a variety of shops to pick from" and that she could think of now way to improve upon what was already there. Featuring shops like Wilko, The Works, and Crawshaws, that statement is certainly true. On top of that, the indoor shopping centre is surrounded by other such shops, meaning that an interested shopper will be spoiled for choice. 
However, Miss Davies did not have such glowing reviews of Salford itself. Having lived here since she was born, she has seen beyond Salford's shining exterior and has experienced some of the areas less appealing features. She said that Salford was "OK", but told us that there is "too much crime" in the area. 
According to statistics published on Police.uk, Salford has more criminal activity than other similar areas. The statistics show that Salford has a crime rate of 122.09, putting it above the average of 113.68. Perhaps the success is due to the low prices and high quality of his clothes. He told Salford Now that he lives locally, and ‘everything’s good here’, further going on to say ‘if you choose to live here I suppose you must like it’. However, the owner of the fashion store claims that he dislikes the ‘rowdiness’ of Salford, therefore stays in his house at night instead of socialising in pubs. This may be due to the high levels of crime associated with Salford, such a small racism, vandalism and violence.
