Track 10 (Tears in the Rain) The Weeknd regrets killing her making his original quest impossible. 
During all this, despite not being able to complete his quest, he was able to learn more about himself.

Then the day of her funeral arrives and shortly afterwards the family is finally able to sit at the table and have a communion like the mother asked for all along. The first book, Matched, is the setting up and the beginning of the quest. We are given a run down of the fictional futuristic setting, introduction to characters and shown the surface relationships characters have with each other. The plot is set up and at first it seems like any normal romance story, aside from the government, which is referred to as “The Society”, assigning relationships based on their personal data. When the main character, Cassia, is assigned not one, but two “matches”, her best friend Xander and another boy named Ky, she sets off to research it herself in secrecy. Her research and slow building relationship with Ky, her second match, takes up most of the first book but nearing the end her and Ky rebel against the “society” and are sent to live in the country side in a rehabilitation sort of rehabilitation center. At the beginning of the second book, Crossed, Cassia and Ky are separated, fueling their drive to fight against the society and everything they have built up. As the book continues both Cassia and Ky make allies as they fight to stay alive and find each other. Cassie and Ky reunite around half way through the book and continue their journey back to the Society through the caverns. More and more is revealed about the Society and what messed up things they do throughout their journey. The book ends as they finally reach the Society. The third and final book, Reached, is all about destroying the Society with each other and the allies they made along the way. Many people stand in their way as they fight to do what they believe is right. In the end they realize that there are far too many to take on in the city so they flee by train towards the caverns they once came from. With hope in their hearts that the rebellion will continue to grow outside and inside the city they begin building their own society outside the walls, free of restrictions and rules. This brilliant series of books are packed full of quests and journeys. Not only is the main goal a very large and extravagant quest they have many smaller, less important, quests sprinkled along the way.
