Diabetes day is celebrated every November 14. Diabetes is fatal and is caused by insulin resistance in the body which prevents sugar from breaking down. Caused by this, there is a high amount of sugar in the body. Diabetes is both genetic and can be contracted due to a poor diet. The theme for Diabetes 2021-23 is access to diabetes care. The government needs to increase interest(money invested) in diabetes care in both medical care and new technologies. Many people with diabetes do not have access to supplies to detect diabetes, access to healthy food and sadly many more. A blue circle represents World Diabetes Day and we must encourage others to spread this word of Diabetes around.

Obesity and inactive lifestyle are two of the most common causes of type 2 diabetes. These things are responsible for about 90% to 95% of diabetes cases in the United States.
Untreated high blood sugar from diabetes can damage your nerves, eyes, kidneys, and other organs. There have been cases when diabetes was fatal.
