This is important as sports can cause long time injuries and the athletes are risking their livelihood every time they step onto a field. The amount of money the colleges make is as large as a mansion. They should be given a part of the revenue, like jersey sales.


The other main issue is that sports are a time commitment some of which are bigger than life it seems. This time commitment can stop student-athletes from getting a job and earning money. So one other way of helping these student-athletes is to discount things like books or dorms or parking. both of these can help all student-athletes no matter how good or bad they are.
