Hello there my name is Karen Lisseth. I am a first generation student. I am Salvadoran and love our traditional dish which are pupusas. I have an identical twin sister, I love shoppingg and my favorite flowers are lilies. My grandma played a major role in my life. She inspired me to pursue my degree and career. Not only do OTA's help people but also show love, patience and compassion. Mostly importantly, they believe in their patients & are supportive and help patients realize that they are capable of reaching their goal. I am excited but also nervous for this fall semester.

Hi everyone, I’m Andrea, a second-year OTA student. I love spending time with my family, trying new restaurants, and being a cat mom to my son, Willow. I’m excited to be closer to graduation and to continue learning in the program. At first, it can feel nerve-racking because you are stepping out of your comfort zone and the workload can feel overwhelming. Remember that doubts are normal, but things really do get better with time and effort. My name is Crystal. This is my second full year here at Trinity. I have a 1 year son who is my everything and the most beautiful handful. Besides school and being a mom I work for Sheppard Pratt in their autism program and 1 also nanny on the side. As you can see I love children which is what moved me into wanting to become an OTA. Hi everyone, I'm Leslie. This is my second year in the OTA program, thank God!! I am very family oriented and love spending time with them any chance I get. I enjoy reading during my free time, trying out new places to eat, and watching my favorite comfort shows. (Criminal Minds, Gilmore Girls, One Tree Hill, etc). My journey and interest into OT, as my dad would say, is thanks to him and his injury. At first, I always feel stressed and nervous coming back to school but after a few weeks I feel like I get used to the idea of being back. With that being said, I wish you all the very best this semester! There will be times where it feels overwhelming but remember to keep pushing forward, even on the days you feel like giving up. Hi everyone, my name is Djane Bien-Aime, I'm a first year OTA. I am from the West- Indies, specifically in Haiti. I was born and raised there and moved in the US just before graduating High School. I speak 3 languages such as Haitian Creole, French, English ( obvisiouly) and a little bit of Spanish. I am driven by my values, I really love my culture and always happy to share it with others. I'm ambitious, I love to reach my highest potential by keeping in mind I'm just one in a million haha. I find happiness by helping others, which is the reason why I am pursing a career in the health field. I love cats, chocolate, coffee, and I am a family oriented person. Concerning starting OT school, I am super excited and nervous but I try to keep the anxiety away as I know it's just because I just started.
