Artist Statement

Behind the hues of cool colors and soft pencil lines, I prioritize using graphite. Through the techniques of putting a pencil to paper to create a scene, it is there I feel the most connected to my art. When I am not using a pencil, you can find me with a paint brush surrounded by various watercolors or acrylics. I am most inspired by my imagination, and when that seems to run out, I simply look outside for my answer. I like to lose myself in the bigger picture of reality. Mother nature is the seed to my imagination.

Society has the power to alter the things we fear. People fear the king of the jungle, but it was this woman’s fear that made her discover the predator is not all that scary. Concluding the idea to face our fears because in the end it is not as scary as we made it.
