  • - Shadowed background used to connote dangerous location.
  • - It also delivers a sense of lurking evil.
  • - Typical establishing icons such as graffiti, cracked walls  etc. which represent conventional suburban deprivation . 
  • - Dark shady atmosphere used to create enigma e.g. gives a sense of an unknown location.
  • The characters are selected and positioned in a place that connotes their importance within the film e.g. a character might be placed in front of another to represent the idea that they play a more important role within the narrative of the film

    VISUAL CODES
    - Facial expression will  express the films theme e.g. anger, loneliness etc. Images of dark shady colours such as black to connote mystery and negativity. 
    The colour dark green could also be used to symbolise money hence reflecting parts of the narrative.     Typical age ratings for crime/thriller films in the BBFC.

    CRIME
    Age Rating 15 : According to the BBFC films that include sex,violence and strong language is classified at least a 15. As a result  my film would be rated a 15 as their would be signs of sex and violence.
    THRILLER
    Age rating would also be a 15: Would contain violence and frequent scenes of bad language.
    The intended demographics of the film would be towards an older audience of around 25-45 years old
