He used his astronomy to accurately predict solar and lunar eclipses. He predicted the solar eclipse of 1799. He is known for making a striking  clock out of wood. Andrew ellicot worked with Banneker to plan out the layout of Washington dc. In 1792 Banneker started posting almanacs. There are not any records of her life so this is Judy W Reed's invention. Judy invented the dough kneader and roller, that smooths dough. When the dough is placed in between the two rollers and then the crank is turned, the dough flattens out. In early 1884, Reed applied for a patent to improve her "dough kneader and roller". On September 23, 1884 Reed received patent No. 305,474 for her invention. James Baldwin was well known for his fiction, he often put in his views about race, culture, class, and religion and soon made an essay called “notes of a native son” speaking on those topics. Baldwin was deeply involved with the civil rights movement seeing as his friends and family were going into addiction, incarceration and suicide. In 1963, he published “the fire next time” an essay about racial struggles and holding “white America” accountable. He looked deeper into it and said that racism affects white people too. He was a big leader in the civil rights movement. In the 1980s, he moved to st Paul, Minnesota and started writing plays and he kept going from there.
