Connecting with the author!! We watched the author Minh Le do a read aloud of this book. It was very meaningful to hear the author's recount of the story behind the story. The students loved the art work, and it was a great discussion of how we connect with others even if we can't communicate with them through words. Creating with our friends and family is a fun and special way to make a connection.
