Can we talk about how Ricky's baby seeing Ricky dead on the couch exemplifies the continuous cycle of violence which is implemented into the lives of all who are born in such an environment. How that trauma leads people back into the life of gangs and violence, forcing them to feel like it's simply apart of their life and there's no hope for a better future. Using Ricky for example because even he who has a real shot at college gets it ripped right out of his hands due to his familial ties and loyalty.
