This unit helps me to understand that in children's learning music, movement and drama are very important. It's important to learn the connection of movement of children's body and development of children. As an educator I believe that we must give numerous opportunities to them to grow overall. Young children must be encouraged to explore their environment and express themselves through multiple ways and languages. We can consider Music as language, drama as language and movement as language. Children are very creative and imaginative. As an educator its my responsibility to make my kids involved in all activities. We should provide that environment in which they can grow and enhance. According to me we should also involve parents so that we can be clear about the thigs kids expect.

ACTIVITIES

Kids very creative and imaginative. They are active learners too. They learn through their eyes, nose, ears, hands, body. Before this unit I was unknown to the power of music, dance and drama. After this unit I had a knowledge that Music, dance and drama is everywhere and kids can learn with these tools very efficiently and with a lot of fun. I will engage my kids with various activities where they can engage and know the power of these tools.

Planning:

Planning outdoor activities offer a unique and engaging way for kids to express themselves, develop their imaginations and learn valuable skills. I will let them play in outdoor but will prioritize their safety and will consider their interests. It's a great way to encourage physical activity, creativity and a connection with nature. So I planned to take them to a big park where they are free to move, see, feel, interact and express. I also believe that every kid has unique capabilities and skills. I will try to introduce the activities in which each and every kid can participate.

Let's start with the:

1) Music: We came to know from this unit that Music is everywhere. According to Dr. Ibrahim Baltagi music can help children to express themselves and share the feelings with others.

Draw What You Hear? - As when kids were taken in the park, I ask them to draw what they heard. For Example- Sound of wind, swaying of leaves, chirping of birds, dry leaves. Kids were very excited to hear the sounds. They heard the sound of cool breeze. To encourage them their artwork was displayed in the classroom.

2) Dance: Young children need time and safe place to play so that they can learn about themselves and the world around them. After keeping this thing in mind I took my kids to park and performed the following activity:

Nature's Mimic: - As they had a nature walk, kids act out the animals they saw and they used their bodies to mimic natural elements. They were supposed to express what they see. Some use the body parts to become tree, to become cat. Some were fascinated to squirrels, so they mimic them. Some kids were acting like they are wind. Some of them were acting like fountain in the park.

3) Drama:- After this unit I learnt that outdoor spaces offer a fantastic backdrop for kids to unleash their creativity and engage in dramatic play. It can help kids to express themselves and can develop social skills. To enhance this following activity was performed:

Forest Tales: - Kids were divided into smaller groups and were assigned different animals and themes to act. One group was made Butterfly and looking for flowers. They observed them and expressed them. One kid acted like a beautiful butterfly and other acted like a flower. One group acted like birds who were collecting sticks from ground for making their nest. The kids were very happy, and they were participating with full enthusiasm. Moreover some kids tried to copy the statues that were available there.

After these activities I could say that all of these languages can be used in combination as suggested in this unit.

When I selected the park for place to visit I experienced the things I read in this unit. Nature and kids have common things. They both can grow with love and affection.

According to Wilson -"The theory and research behind some educational models provide support for a return to closer linkages with the natural environment. Such models are based on the understanding that young children and nature have much in common. Both grow better when carefully nurtured and both engender a sense of joy and excitement. "

There are so many languages by which kids can express themselves. I have seen the video The Mutton bird from where I came to know about Movement and dance are interconnected and are the expressive way of storytelling. Movement not only benefits physical health of children but also plays a vital role in cognitive, social and emotional development and creating a well- rounded educational experience for them.

I felt a deep positivity after listening Wala is life by Allara as in this song she highlights the interconnectedness between water and life. She uses music to express herself.

I got encouragement from these and also tried to implement it. I am lucky enough to experience these things in my visit.

I felt the cool breeze on my face. The leaves were swaying in the direction of wind. I noticed butterflies on the flowers, clear sky with clouds having different shapes. I noticed the music and movement of fountain in the park.

I recalled my childhood while having the nature walk. I used to play with natural loose parts. Nature is the perfect example of learning.

LEARNING FROM THIS UNIT:

This unit has helped me to understand the importance of language in learning. Learning can be fun is the ideology I understood. Language is different for everyone. From this unit I understood Music can be a language and music is everywhere even silence has a sound. Kids learn and understand music since their birth. Movement is also a form of language. Kids can express themselves with this language. And it is important for kids physical, social and emotional development. Drama is also the in the category of language. Drama for kids is all about using imagination, movement, music. It helps them build confidence, improve communication, and develop empathy for others.

OBSERVATIONS:

The main idea to take kids to the park was that playing outdoors is fantastic for their physical and mental health. It provides stimulating environment with trees, grass, flowers wind, birds and many more. Kids really enjoyed themselves in the park. They were happy as there was a great space for running, jumping and other physical activities. They participated in all activities while having fun. They experienced everything and noticed everything, but it was very sunny that day kids lose their energy in the sun. So next time I will consider the weather too before planning this activity. Moreover, I will try to bring more loose parts for them to express themselves as there were limited resources. Music, dance and drama provide a fun and engaging way for young children to learn, grow and express themselves. Music helps them learn and move their bodies. Dance helps them to express themselves through movement. Drama helps them tell stories, be creative and work together. In conclusion, kids are naturally drawn to these arts and engage their senses, spark curiosity and make learning enjoyable.
