Stalin viewed the uprising with intense suspicion. The Polish where left to fight the Germans and where defeated by 2 October. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This speech is also known as the "Iron Curtain speech". It was clear throughout the speech that the purpose of Churchill was making a call towards the US to have a "special relationship" with them. However he also warned about the policies of the Soviet Union and how they were expanding. This speech was seen as "war mongering" for Stalin and drew tension between Britain, USSR and the US.</div>]]></description>
