The last one is different because it shows more of a scene unlike all of the other pictures.
Themes:
1. conquering multiple territories
2. the important figures are large so that it is visible that they hold the power
3. ownership and owning the land that you claim even if there are other inhabitants there

1. There are similarities and differences with each of the four cartoons, but a similarity that I notice with all three of the cartoons is there is a man taking something that represents a part of the world, specifically Africa or Asia.
2. I think each cartoon represents a different country. For example, the first one is England taking over multiple African and Asian territories. The second cartoon seems to be multiple countries trying to take over China. The third cartoon seems to be a man (maybe British or German?) taking over all of Africa. The fourth cartoon is the United States (see on his canteen) also taking over Africa (or parts of it).
3. A theme I see throughout these cartoons is they make the African and Asian countries/ continents very small and the Europeans and Americans are portrayed as very large.

1. In all of the images there is one large person who seems to be the leader or main figure that we see. In the first, there is a man with many hands over many different countries. This is representing him taking over those many different countries. In the second, we see some sort of a leader with soldiers cutting up the map of China, so they are conquering China. In the third, we see a man who is standing over the continent of Africa. This is him taking power over Africa. In the last photo, it is a man who is supposed to be carrying two African's, but instead they don't even look like real people. The large people are always white in the photos.
2. They are different in ways of who they're conquering. They are different countries, but all being conquered.
3. Domination, Discrimination,

Either there is one person that is bigger, stronger, greater or has some superhuman look which makes them look more powerful. The characters also appear satisfied with themselves and no caring about if they are harming others. Also some use countries' names being shown as weaker which again shows their power.
2. Some of the pictures show more niceness to the other people in the pictures while others are terrible treatment.
3. Power, Discrimination, and

1. In the first and third photos the photos depict immense and widespread conquering, for the characters shown in both cartoons are seen making an effort to conquer lots of far territory. In the second and fourth photos, there is a building with a flog on a hill depicted in the cartoon. Also, all of the photos have a map somehow included.
2. Some of the photos show power, some greed, and other suffering. In the first photo, there is an "octopus man" and he is seen trying to conquer lots of land, depicting greed. In the second photo, there is a general-like figure. The fourth photo shows an particular interprentation of "White Man's Burdern", although different, it shows the theme of power in a subtle way.

Some similar themes in the photos I noticed was that there was usually a man that seemed to have lots of power. I noticed that there would be one man dressed in his countries attire or flag who was being looked upon by inferior, smaller men with their contries attire or flag. This would indicate that these smaller countries are looking up to this one superior country in which holds the most power through imperialism. There are also some similarities betwenn how the power is illustrated, for example, we also see one greedy country sort of helping itself to the other countries resources.

I noticed that overall, the last picture was the most different. I saw it as a white male carrying a dead african american male, most likely from Africa as I can tell from his attire. I think this represents how Europeans are feasting on Africa's plentifulness, and as a result of Europe's cupidity, I feel like Africa is drained of it's resources and so the only thing left is themselves. I also see that is says "the white man's burden", relating to what we talked about in class which is that the Europeans are taking care of the Africans.

I think a difference is who is in charge. Sometimes it is the US and other times it is England
3. One theme is power because every person comes across as powerful and "bigger" than the others

In the first, England is "grabbing a hold of" many new territories. The next two depict men standing over the land and disregarding it as though the privilege to own this land means nothing to them. All of the cartoons have themes of Europeans disrespecting the land and people that the conquer.
2. As addressed before, the fourth picture is somewhat different because it shows the cruel use and ignorance towards the people.
3. The first theme I see is European ignorance. The second is conquering the world. The third is splitting up the world.

It also shows how the men conquer or obtain a county or item.
2. These photos are all very similar. It all shows a man being in control and having power over people or a country. The only one where this theme is depicted in a different way is the last one, where the man looks like he is helping a person, while he is not actually helping, but is showing how he has dominance.
3. The body language of the main characters represents their ideas about themselves and their missions, and their outstretched hands or stepping on a map represent their greed.
