I chose to use these props as i believed it would be realistic to the plot, and it would be a fun scene to film. I also had to think about what foods would be suitable, for example something like ice cream wouldn't be suitable as it would more than likely melt before we had the chance to film the scene.

All of the set was just furniture we found in college and the props were things i had to buy from shops. The food i purchased was from Mcdonalds, Boots and Good News.

I checked that the person partaking in the trial wasn't allergic to any of the food i had planned on buying before i purchased it. When it came to moving set, i would move small items, such as chairs, on my own but when it came to larger, more heavy objects, such as tables, i would ask someone in my group to help.

I was required to look after and buy the props, such as the food for the trial.

We only require set for some scenes, such at a table ad chairs, this is required as during the bushtucker trial, a place was needed for the person doing the trial to sit and eat. Chairs were also needed for the camper interviews. Certain set was just circumstance, such as the benches in the waking up scene and the shower for the scene that followed.

During the filming of the bushtucker trial, it was Katie's job to move the props into frame by passing them to Lily as i was behind the camera.

The set and props are important to the performance as certain scenes would not be possible without them, the main one is the bushtucker trial. We decided this would be an eating trial,, so without me purchasing the food for the scene we wouldn't be able to film.

If we had the money i would have loved to spend money on better set pieces as I think it would make the scenes more immersive. I would also have liked to spend more on the bushtucker trial scene to maybe make it more difficult.

I will be responsible for looking after the camera as it will be my own camera,i will need to remember to bring the camera and any other equipment that we may need ie tripod.

Skills I will be using during the creation of our piece will be creativity as I will need to think about angles and lighting. I am looking forward to being able to grow my skills in videographing as it's something I can use in the future for other projects.

Creativity is a very important when recording because it may sometimes come to you to make creative decisions about angles or places to record.

After every shot, the group and I watched back the footage to make sure that we were all happy with it, if someone wasn’t then we would reshoot it.

However, after a lot of consideration, a music video may become too much of a challenge as they cost a lot in set, props, costumes and involve a lot of technical requirements such as sound, lighting, special effects. Location may also be an issue as many music videos use American locations or green screen, something we do not have a lot of access too.

Due to theses issues we decided to do something like a reality show. Something like this does not need to be perfect and lower quality production is more forgivable. This also gives us performers the opportunity to have a variety of characters using a range of skills.

We have decided to do I am a celebrity with our own twist. Instead of celebrity’s it is with students from different musical theatre universities from popular universities across the country. We are also swapping the jungle for Burton upon Trent with the challenge being the contestants can not do anything related to musical theatre such as singing, dancing, or quoting musicals.

The next job was to find a bunch of songs that we could potentially use. We wrote down a variation of musicals and picked the ones we wanted, based on how we wanted the story plot to go. We went through every song in each musical and started to put a story together through the songs. Once we had picked all the songs we wanted to use we started to try and order them, this took some time as we needed the song order to match with the plot that we had been creating.

By allowing everyone to take a shot at directing, it meant that there was less pressure on a specific person and everyone could develop their skills. We decided to all direct at least one song each, then the rest we could either choose to direct them all together as a group or direct more that one on our own.

I chose these lyrics for Evelyn as the entire plot of her character is to try and seduce Wylan (Jay's Character), i felt like the lyric 'Can't find my way to you' fit really well. Since Evelyn was a trial, her purpose it to find a way to Wylan and keep him from finding Paradise.

During this performance I portrayed the character Aurora; she was the daughter of Paradise. I believe that my portrayal of Aurora was successful. Whilst I do believe I could have done some things better, I am very happy with my performance. I think that my strength during the performance was my characterisation, as I felt very happy with the type of character I had created Aurora to be; however, my weakness during the performance was that I did muddle up some of my lines, but I felt like it wasn't noticeable to the audience as I was able to improvise through it. I believe that my group did a great job in the performance. Whilst there were points that we all struggled with our lines, we were all able to make it work. We had very minimal props; these were three scrolls for me, Emi and Kelsey, as well as some cards that were used for Lauren's character trial scene. Throughout the performance I think we all displayed a variety of qualities and skills, as some people weren't as comfortable in certain aspects but still gave it a go. Overall I believe that our performance went really well; we all had lots of fun whilst performing, and based off comments given to us after the show, the audience seemed to really enjoy it too. I think that we all achieved what we wanted too when we started this project.
