This article talks about how consumers have been screwed over by incorrect credit reports during the COVID pandemic, and gives tips on how to help keep your credit score in a good position during the pandemic. It also gives examples of fixes for relieving consumer’s pain in cases of incorrect credit reports, such as a bill passed which requires a full Social Security number match what’s on a creditor’s claim and a person’s credit report and another passed bill which formalize the right of consumers to appeal a dispute decision, provide credit restoration for fraud victims, and create an ombudsperson at the CFPB to handle persistent errors. There are also examples of people who fixed their credit scores after finding what was giving them bad credit.

What’s in Your Credit Score? pg. 8

Summary: In this article, the author talks about how she received her first credit card through a summer job she had and her dad advised her to be cautious with it due to the consequences you can cause in the future from your current use of the credit card. She explains how although she might’ve not fully appreciated it, it was something important that would impact her future of buying a house, a car, getting a job, etc. She then talks about how there’s time where the bank can make minor mistakes that will greatly negatively impact your credit score and how we should learn the best possible ways to improve our credit score and to protect it, especially when it comes to the bank making errors.

This article has a connection to this class through credit. It talks about how credit is more important than what it seems and how building a good credit is important for the future for things such as getting a home or receiving personal loans.

If You’ve lost your Health Insurance (Pages 38-41)
This article discusses how to help regain your health insurance once you have lost it. It explains the ways you can be qualify for health insurance and the different insurance there are. For example kids under 19 the parents should see if they qualify for CHIP (Childerns Health Insurance Program). Or if you have lost your job o see if you qualify for Medicaid which in 2010 it provided insurance to more people which also allowed the states to expand the Medicaid programs. The connection it has to the class is that it shows us how insurance works and also what to do if something happens how to get insurance again.

The coronavirus influenza has altered all of our lives, some of these lessons have been painful but there are many positive things that we have learned as a society. The author of this article Kevin Loria has stated 5 major points of progress that we have made. The first being how the Tech Revolution sored as we all started using zoom on a daily. Loria states "81% of 1,500 surveyed professionals who worked remotely in the past year would prefer not to go back to the office at all or to have hybrid schedule going forward." We also  picked up important wellness habits as well as became better at DIY projects from home. shopping became much easier as delivery and pickup for groceries grew more then 80%. lastly this pandemic has taught us more about reassessing our priorities. 
This article relates to the class because we all have to be looking out or each other and not exposing and risking the health of others. using steps like these slows the spread of the virus. we all should be doing our part!
