Or for their own self-hatred for being associated with femininity? Living in a patriarchal society, we can come to agree that masculinity is more favorable than femininity. Due to deeply rooted misogyny, many women have internalized this idea of hatred towards women which leads them to a strategy known as emphatic sameness, or the modern version: Pick-me girls.
