I believe that shylock is a victim to those who accuse him to be a villain because of his miserable religion of being a Jew. To backup Out point I chose the quote "certainly the Jew is the very devil incarnation" which is Lancelot his unfortunate jester. This supports the idea of shylock being accused said by a devil. I said that Lancelot is being anti-Semitic and Stereo-Typical. In the 16th century Jewish people in Venice were discriminated and unwanted. This is Shylocks life and how he wants he was brought up, so I feel a little sympathy for shylock as a character. We believe that Shylock is a villain as he has ask Antonio's flesh and how much a pound! this quote suggests that    The villain that we see in Shylock is the greedy moneylender. Shylock lends Antonio money, Soon after Shylock's daughter runs away from home with Lorenzo, a Christian, and takes her father's ducats with her.  When Antonio's ships do not come in and he is not able to repay the loan Shylock is no longer interested in getting his money back. Shylock want revenge for the loss of his daughter through the fulfilment

We understand that he wants revenge however being stereotypical is wrong . My quote is " I hate him for he is a Christian." That is no excuse to say that. If Shylock believes that he is better then there is no need for him  to cut a pound of flesh. I understand he has experience unforgettable remarks but he should forget about the bad things and remember the good things that has happened in his life and move on.
