At the moment the biggest statement going around is "BLACK LIVES MATTER" . They want to be heard, treated equally. George floyd is also used in statements now people are using his story to get there point across, about the saying black lives matter, they are saying this because there lives are taken away more than other races and they want people to see, to listen and to understand. What I feel, personally

Personally I understand and I care, A LOT. However I do not think that destroying neighborhoods, buildings, robbing stores, beating up innocent people and hating on cops are the answers. I would like to get my point across peacefully with no hate towards me that the majority of cops are not like that, though I do believe there are sadly a few that are bad, and I think that bad ones should get fired or go to jail. But overall I think that everyone needs to listen, understand and support all black lives. and all lives as well <3 (Abigail)

Yes, people loot as a way to express power or to attack federal corps that tend to be racist, but a huge issue right now is that this state of disarray in the world is a window of opportunity for some really bad people to get away with doing whatever they want. People can burn things, steal, and hurt/potentially KILL others and dismiss it as a sign of protest, even if they could care less about the issues at hand. - Ell

there are intense riots less that a mile away from my apartments and it is frightening to hear the gunshots and see local businesses that I've loved being set on fire and ransacked. -Ell
