I try to create a positive classroom climate by showing interest in what students are sharing with me. For example, if it was their birthday party last weekend I try to remember and ask them how it went. If they got a new pet, I will ask them how they named it etc. I also show them respect so they show respect to others as well, encourage and congratulate them etc.

In my class I like to encourage positive behavior by saying things like "good job" or "well done" every time they attempt a new task or activity. I do that even if they are not doing the task perfectly because it encourages them to keep trying. I also like to put up their artwork in the class because that makes them feel that the things they do matter and it makes them proud of themselves.

When having background instrumental music on during the classroom environment, it helps when it's time for the children to work on their workbooks independently , free time and snack/lunch time you can find it free on YouTube. When the children using words like please , thank you , your welcome and no thank you and try to self- regulation and problem solving before coming to a teacher. You are in my space bubble or I need my alone time which means five minute's away from the play partners. The five timer is used in many different teaching methods during transition's time and times in reflecting on their actions.

I am trying to create a positive environment in my classroom by taking students interests and preferences into account when planning my lessons. Learning and respect students personal boundaries, is helping me to connect with them. Having a positive and supportive attitude, even when things don't go smoothly, by listening carefully to their emotions and try to support or,cool down tension in a fair way. Supporting the students by encouraging them, recognizing the effort and every accomplishment.
