Language Need

If the student has a different language background than the language of instruction, teachers must observe and inquire whether the same concerns are evident in the student's home language by discussing with home language instructors and parents.

Tier 2 instruction

A student support advocate is responsible for identifying the needs of the particular student, relaying this information to relevant staff members through meetings with the Child Study Team (CST), and collaborates with the teachers of the student to provide strategies, accommodations in the classroom, and offer curriculum modifications for the particular student (VIS Student Support Services, 2023).
