The severity of her Cerebral Palsy allows her not to be able to talk, even with having a photographic memory. She describes her challenges of having so many things to say, but not being able to say them. Until, she gets a Medi-Talker, a machine that allows her to speak with a push of a button. She is finally able to say anything she wants, and especially show off her smarts in front of the fifth grade. She even joins the quiz team! Although having this new feature, others do not accept or understand her. Cerebral palsy is a physical disability that effects an individuals movement. It occurs 1 in every 1000 births.
