    • Thursday, August 2nd from 8 to 11: Social Studies Weekly Training for K-2nd BRE teachers at EHS auditorium
    • Thursday, August 2nd from 2 to 3: Frances Lovelace will attend the Attendance Meeting at EMS.
    • Friday, August 3rd from 8:30 to 3:30: Language! Intervention Training will be held at the CCBOE for BRE teachers. Those going include Kathryn Haywood, Elizabeth Hemphill, Vanessa Murphy, Heather Typhair, and Laura Gilliand.
    • Friday, August 3rd from 1 to 4: Social Studies Weekly Training for teachers in grades 3-5 at EHS. Only those teaching S.S should attend. 
    • Friday, August 3rd from 1 to 4: Mendy Grant will attend the Road Mapping for ELA Teachers in the EES Learning Commons. 
    • Monday, August 6th from 8 to 12: Corrective Reading Intervention Training at the CCBOE for Kathryn Haywood, Elizabeth Hemphill, Vanessa Murphy, Heather Typhair, and Laura Gilliand.
    • Tuesday, August 7th at 9: ALICE Training for anyone who did not participate last school year.

This summer has been a busy one! 
    • New HVAC system, including new duct work in the main building
    • Our art room has new tile
    • All carpet and floors have been cleaned
    • All classrooms have a short throw projector
    • All teachers have a new desktop
    • A covered walkway for car riders will be built this week ... 100 ft long
    • The school lunch entrees will be more tasty and visually appealing! CC has a new Nutritional Director! Ruth and I sampled some foods on Friday. They are bringing the fryers back for French Fries! 
    • A new free standing Promethean board has been purchased for our Learning Commons.
    • New vacuums and 3 carpet cleaners are being ordered for BRE. Thanks to FMO!
    • Robin Lorenz and her team have been decorating bathrooms in the 5th grade building.

  • Teachers please make plans to stay after school on Thursday, August 9th for a faculty meeting. 
  • Boosterthon Kickoff will occur on Tuesday, August 14th.  K-2nd is scheduled for 1:45, and grades 3-5 will meet with the Boosterthon team at 2:30 in the gym.
  • Boosterthon kickoff for Teachers will be held on Tuesday, August 14th at 4:10.
  • BRE’s Leadership/SIP Team will meet after the “Kickoff” on Tuesday. 
  • Monday, August 13th: Fastbridge Opens for you to begin assessing students. You must be trained & certified before evaluating students. 
  • August 16th: Parent Orientation for 1st and 2nd at 6:00
  • August 21st: Parent Orientation for 4th grade parents at 6:00
  • August 23rd: Boosterthon Fun Run from 9-12 & Parent Orientation for 5th grade parents at 6:00
    • I’m waiting to hear from Kindergarten and 3rd about their Parent Orientation. I’ll send a letter home to parents sharing the dates and time.
