<title>stories about the other by Sigmon, Kaitlin</title>
      <link>https://padlet.com/kaitlinsigmon/le1at6c23hwsewb9</link>
<description>I got the privilege to speak with Brenada Peynado both in class and after the event as she signed my copy of her work. She stated that it is more important for her to approach her work as an exploration of ideas rather that a piece that will offer a solution or have a specific thing to say. Although I am not much of a writer, I believe this perspective is really encouraging to me as a reader and thinker about literature. In her spirit, I wanted to approach my grappling with Shakespeare&#39;s text as an exploration that encompasses many thoughts and ideas such as how we deal with threats of the other, power dynamics, education relating to history, and our divided country.</description>
