For me there is this very specific scent of like wax mixed with art supplies and dried apple juice on the floor. This scent mixture makes me think of walking down the hallway at White Marsh Elementery that had the art room in it. This memory gives me a very strong sense of nostalgia of being a little kid just walking through the halls of my school.

The smell of a finish perfume reminds me of my grandmother, specifically sitting huddled around her computer looking at photos of me and my little cousins when we where little. It also reminds me of sitting in her craft room painting next to her or making charm bracelets, talking about what we might wanna do with our lives, she never doubted that we would all be ok :)

The smell of vanilla reminds me of baking cookies when I was little. As a family, it is a tradition of ours every winter to make cookies as a group. Then we decorate them with colorful sprinkles. The smell of vanilla reminds me of baking cookies with my family on a snowy day. Baking cookies for me is filled with the smell of vanilla and fresh cookies in the oven which is why vanilla makes me think of those happy days when I was little.

A specific smell that has a lot of meaning to me is the smell of my mom's spaghetti and meatballs. She makes this dish on special occasions and a memory that comes with that smell is a memory from my childhood when I would help her make the dish. A scent that has a memory for me is the brassy, metally scent that mixed with the sweet smell of Dunkin at the train station in Philly. Every year for the Thanksgiving and New Years Day parades, my distant cousins, aunts and uncles would all get on the train to center city to watch. I once used a body wash that smells like peaches and me and my friend used the body wash at camp and accidentally used way to much on our self. Since we weren't aloud to shower and we had this awful peach smell on us me and my friend ran around camp trying to get the peach smell to leave us. So, every time I smell peaches it triggers that memory.

When I was a little kid I was never allowed to have soda, but my Grandpa thought differently. I didn't see him a lot, however when I did he would always sneak me a ginger ale from the downstairs fridge. After that we would sit outside the house so my parents wouldn't see me drinking the ginger ale. So the smell of a can of ginger smells good, and reminds me of him and his old house.

The smell of a sunk always reminds me of the time I was playing man-hunt at my old house, with my old neighbors. We were picking teams and all of a sudden we started smelling this horrible scent. We started accusing each other saying that they farted or smell bad, but as we kept talking the scent only get stronger. We started looking around and we saw a skunk popping out of the trees with it's butt up. We sprinted inside and started dying laughing as we told the story to our parents, who were all inside watching the football game. Whenever I smell that smell again, I get reminded of my old neighborhood, and neighbors.
