By requiring SAT or ACT scores it generates a baseline for us to narrow down the overwhelming number of candidates. Upon narrowing down the candidates we are left with a smaller pool of students, where we are then able to narrow down the students through their recommendations, transcripts and various other qualifiers. Instead, our whole life is a learning process, not meant to be evaluated, but to be experienced. So, don't base your whole life off one test score. You will make the most of any place you end up. Embrace the life of creativity and your own passions. We feel that they are not an accurate reflection of a students intelligence, and a lot of extra time and money outside of school is required to get good scores. It is more a measure of how well you can study and how many resources you have at your disposal rather than a measure of how successful you will be in college and your intellect.
