It broadens horizons and encourages exploration. But despite local activities, they must think globally to become competent teachers with knowledge of global trends to share with their students. with competence and pride not only as an individual but as a filipino citizen.

Personally, I think that the only way I can become a Glocal teacher while also having a true Filipino teacher with a strong sense of nationalism and Filipinism is by actively participating in a global arena while holding on to a firm understanding of my country and a profound knowledge of who I am. Knowing my own identity, including my culture, race, traditions, and so on, is important, in my opinion. Even if I am exposed to different nations, my solid knowledge of myself must not be changed. I will acknowledge further beneficial contributions from other nations and incorporate them to improve what I already have, but not to the point where they would alter who I am. Everywhere I go, I will constantly wear my identity as a reassurance and reminder of who I truly am. Additionally, it is a means for me to communicate my distinctive qualities to others so that they may better comprehend Filipino culture through my example. I will share the beauty of my country when I interact with various people and utilize informative qualities about other nations to enhance the quality and standard that I have in my country for the purpose of being integrated and adaptive.

Glocal Education is about diversity, understanding the differences and teaching cultural groups in their own context to achieve the goals of the global education as presented by the United Nations. To become an educator possessing the culture and the value of being a Filipino would be my pride to become a glocal teacher. I believe that respecting the diversity of my learners giving them a fair treatment despite their differences would be a best thing we can impart to their beings, and these things is already given to us as a Filipino knowing that we are very hospitable and also diverse in term of cultures and beliefs. Thus, glocal education provides equal oppurtunity and access to knowledge and learning tools which are the basic rights of every child in the community, locality and within global community. Hence to become a glocal teacher we need to be competent and armed with skills, appropriate attitude and universal values to learners at home or abroad but it is equipped with both time tested as well as modern technologies in education in any given time and in any given place in the world. We need to be someone who thinks and acts both locally and globally with worldwide perspectives but teaching in the communities, localities, towns, provinces and regions where he or she is situated.

A glocal teacher is a teacher who upholds the global standard of teaching without forgetting their own roots, or adapting local perspectives to the global outlook. In order to adapt with the globalization, as teachers, we need to develop ourselves, enhance our skills, and improve the principle of the profession in order to be globally competitive. However, as we coast the tide of the global advancement, we must not forget where we really came from. As a Filipino teacher, we must abide with the declared rules and policies of the state, support and promote local tradition and customs, know our own history, and embrace our nationality. In conclusion, I will be able to become a glocal teacher by undergoing CPD program to enhance my skills, attend seminars and conferences, and be open to modernization, to uphold the global standard, and in order to be globally competitive. At the same time, I must respect the declared rules and policies of the state, promote my own tradition and culture, learn my history, and embrace my nationality. Wherever we teach in the world, we must be confidently loud and proud that we are a Filipino.

-Eisle Marc Improgo, 2023

A glocal teacher must be a have a skill and mindset that do not set any boundaries, and prepares the students to be globally competitive. To be an effective glocal teacher who is still a true filipino, you must teach them the importance of knowing the country's history, language, culture and values. Encourage them to take pride in their heritage and be responsible citizens who contribute to the development of the country. Be innovative enough in teaching those information to students with fairness. Encourage students to think about the issues globally and how it impacts locally. It takes constant learning and adaptation to develop into a "glocal" teacher with a strong feeling of nationalism and filipinism. Educating your students for an interconnected world while developing a strong sense of national identity, it's important to strike a balance between global ideas and local values. You must do this by teaching your students to see the world in this way.

-Rosalyn Pareja

In today's interconnected world, becoming a Glocal teacher, while maintaining a deep-rooted sense of nationalism and Filipinism will be a challenge. First, it is essential to understand the ever-evolving landscape of education. The worlds is changing rapidly, and as educators/future educators, we must stay updated on global pedagogical trends, cutting-edge technology, and innovative teaching methods. In this way, it can greatly enhance our ability to connect with students and prepare them for an increasingly interconnected world. Moreover, in my perspective I can become a glocal teacher who is a true Filipino teacher with a solid value of nationalism and Filipinism, is setting a personal example. By embracing and exemplifying the nationalism, integrity, and deep love for our culture, we can inspire students to do the same. In the end, glocal teacher with strong foundation in nationalism and Filipinism is about finding the right equilibrium. It's about marrying the best of both worlds-harnessing global knowledge and teaching strategies to provide high quality and world-class education while remaining deeply connected to their roots.

- Sunshine Padilla

In the these times of globalization, a Filipino teacher must uphold the respective global standards and at the same time foster the values of being a Filipino. In order to bring this into fruition, one must equip himself with an inclusive perspective and embrace diversity in teaching regardless of culture, religion, and other differences; one must continue to improve one’s professional development through various trainings and workshops; one should cultivate global competitiveness within students through awareness, collaborations, and benchmarking with other international bodies and institutions; one should be adaptive, culturally sensitive, and respectful to the existing culture, customs, and traditions; and of course in order to to become a true Filipino, one must uphold and cultivate Filipino values within one’s actions, and integrate in one’s teaching strategies. A globally competitive Filipino teacher should champion the standards of globalization while maintaining the integration of Filipino values within one’s teaching endeavors.

-Ian S.

As a Glocal Teacher, we must be able to compete to the global standards in the field of education while still upholding our local values.
There are two things that a teacher must understand in order to be globally competitive: Diversity and Global Competence.
A Glocal Teacher should understand that the world is diverse. We came from different walks of life, be it culture, race, gender and even sexual orientation.
Aside from diversity, Global Competence is also a key to be an effective Glocal Teacher. By continuous learning and mastery of craft, we will be able to compete to the global standards of education. Hence, a teacher must think outside of the box and look for different learning techniques to adapt to these diversity and global competence.
But by adding our local values (Nationalism and Filipinism) to this keys, having the fact that Filipino teachers are one of the best teachers in the world. If we just value our teachers and give importance to their passion, we will be able to keep up to the global educational standards.
