Cat is one of the most popular pet in Malaysia. Cat are very familiar with human because it one of the most tame animal. However they are some problem if there are too many cats. This happen to the stray cat at the university Malaysia Pahang (UMP) student residential. Have you face this problem at UMP? Did you know, most of the problem happens in residential college in UMP? This had raised a lot of problem among the people in UMP. Moreover, the cat are hanging around disturbing people, raised hygiene issue to the people in UMP and raised the probability of incident on the road user.

Firstly, the cat was hanging around and disturbing people at residential area. For example, it happen to the KK3 residential where a lot of cats intruding student room. It will cause our room dirty and not suitable to perform prayer. The cat will bring stool into the room and this will affect the cleanliness of the room. This not good for the members of the room especially for the muslim to perform their prayer. Besides, the cat also messes up the shoe rack and corridor. Besides, the cat will find the food inside the dustbin too to finding their food. It also, sleeps at the shoes rack which causes the corridor scattered with shoes and trash. This will consequently affect the image of residential college to visitor. The worst part is that the cat simply pooing and peeing at the corner, laundry and bathroom. This will causes some places become smelly and inconvenient. This proves that, the presence of too many cats in UMP will continuously increase a lot of problems and has irritated the residence mostly in residential college.

Furthermore, the cats also create environmental problems when they have raised the hygiene issue of the residential college in UMP. For instance, a lot of cats were gathering at the cafeteria to get food from the students who are eating there. This condition makes the students feel uncomfortable when having their meals. As the result, some of the students do not want to buy the food at cafeteria. The cats were eating the lofted food on the floor and this will make the floor dirty and smelly at the cafeteria. Besides, some of the cats also love to walk and jump onto the table and will cause too much fur and stick on it. In addition, the cats also make trouble when they jump up to student dining table while they are having their meals. This makes the students become scared and promised that they will not going to eat at the cafeteria again. This situation finally had caused many inconvenient to the students to enjoy their meals in the cafeteria.

Lastly, the presence of too much cats in UMP also has harm the road users. These situations always happen in the night time. The cats simply crossing the road without knowing that they are actually harming the road users. There was a time where the driver lost control as they tried to save the cat from being hit. Moreover, the cats also make some of the cars in UMP as their place to sleep. For example, the cats always sleep under the cars and sometimes on the car bonnet. Consequently, this problem has makes the driver becomes irritated as the cats had messed up their car by peeing near to their car. Next, they also are obstructing the road by playing around at the road. This problem again, would bring harm to the driver. As the conclusion, the problems should be taken into further action as it would lead to more accidents and traffic jams at UMP especially during peak hour.

Based on the problems stated, it is clearly seen that the presence of too much cats in UMP has causes many effects as the cats always disturbing the residence, had raised the hygiene issues and also harm the road users. This problem has becoming serious day by day as no action had been taken to solve this problem. The UMP residents do hope that the upper management can do some action to catch the cats so that the problems could be reduced and all the residents can live happily in UMP without facing the same problems again.
