As an infant, I was able to reach, grab, and pick up small objects such as small toys (Feldman, 2015). I was also able to hear a wide range of frequencies, and make sound distinctions that would eventually lead to language development (Feldman, 2015). During this very early time, i was making around normal progress through the sensorimotor stage of development (Feldman, 2015.)

I was apparently an easy baby to deal with. I didn't get upset often and i was relatively easy to potty train. According to Freud's oral and anal stage theory, I would probably fall somewhere in-between anal retentive and expulsive (Feldman, 2015). I don't recall ever being told i had an oral fixation for anything as well.

I was a shy baby as well. I preferred to be around my parents, particularly my mom, than going and interacting with other babies. I briefly went to a day care when i was around 3 or 4 and I hated it. During this period of Erikson's trust-vs-mistrust theory, i was a relatively mistrusting child/toddler (Feldman, 2015). As i got older the shyness started to go away a bit.
