Act 1 scene ones lines 88 to 91(p9): For God's sake sir, you've been robbed. Get dressed. Your heart,s going to break. It's like half your soul's been ripped out. At this very minute an old black ram is having sex with your little white lamb. ... Get up, I tell you.

Explanation: Iago is explaining to Brabantio the consequences of Brabantio's daughter being with Othello. Iago shows that their is a presence of prejudice in this society because he is not basing the situation off Othello's personality and kindness, he's basing it off the fact that Othello is black and that this is a very serious situation because Brabantio will have black grand-children.

Act 1 scene 1 p3-5 (quote): "And who does he choose? This guy from Florence named Michael Cassio. He has a pretty wife but he can't even control her. And he's definitely never commanded men in battle. ... My career is cut short by some book-keeper, even though the general saw my fighting skills first-hand in Rhodes and Cyprus.

explanation: Iago is very jealous of Michael Cassio for having received a promotion over him. You can really tell he is jealous because he is putting down Michael Cassio to make himself feel better and because he really wanted that job. There is always jealousy in this type of world because there's always going to be injustices and other people achieving things that you want to achieve.
